      450 bushmaster

Yep, certain places that is absolutely true. My lease is in a preservation trust surrounded by nothing. They do not see, smell, or hear humans on their turf very often. I can go in the woods behind my house and hit a deer with a frisbee for fun if so inclined as they are more habituated to...

      450 bushmaster

Part of reason for change was not wanting to go up in the tree with loaded weapon. Had the bushmaster upper and had to let the bolt go with some force to reliably chamber round, forward assist did not always do the job. In the quiet of the morning did not enjoy that sound so switched it up.

      450 bushmaster

Yes, used it for two seasons with great success. Switched to Henry single shot 450 for a change. Great round for woods hunting.

Pre-Season Hunting Chores -- Share Your Approach

Over the years have spent a lot of time in the woods in the spring scouting and finding new spots. Think I am ok on spots so have stayed out of the lease this spring summer. Going to get down and change out one tree stand sometime this week or next, check on the others, make minimal cuts to...

4-Day Deep Creek vacay: Where to eat?

Mnt State Brewery is on our list whenever we go. Good pizza and some tasty beers. Visit every time we go there. Honi Honi / Unos is always good spot to sit outside listen to band and grab some grub. Playground is nice for the kiddos.

Anyone own / use a Leuopold scope with the CDS turrets?

Have one on my Henry 450 bushmaster. Have only gone out to 200 as close to top of hunting range with that round and works great. Takes a lot of guesswork out when you see that big spread of white you are looking for. Have found the dial to be very accurate.

Steer Clear of Duffy's Gun Room

Never had a problem with them either, been great to deal with on several transactions. They indeed have been willing to fight and do what the law says not how some may interpret it. If you did not like what they were offering you for your “collection “, that is on you and you alone. Could of...

      Arken SH4 6-24X50 GEN2 FFP MOA

Thanks ! Had had my eye on the SH4 4-16, with that pricing could not hold off any longer. This site gets me into trouble….

Self serve tire air fill locations in or near Carroll Co.

Get the ryobi handheld inflator. Runs to 120 psi and about the size of cordless drill. Have not had to use it on truck tires but did well bringing up wife’s small suv tires. Tool only is $24 at HD.

Recommendation for small patio and drainage job -- Annapolis area

Larger gutters and downspouts? Ours used to overflow in said storms causing some problems as well. We replaced gutters and downspouts to larger ones and also relocated two downspouts where we could and has drastically helped the problem.

      New Bang Stick

Did you get the free safari with it as well ? I see many of their posts include a free safari and with some of the prices on these items do not see how they are doing that.

      AGC guest policy

For me price makes sense. It is a hard comparison to Lancaster PA versus the middle of MD. Never had any issues with range officers at AGC for shooting too fast. Think they do a pretty good job of letting people shoot and watching out for safety issues. There are a lot of meme bees that do not...

      Wolf 6.5 Grendel Split Cases

Yep, I was having issues with my 6.5G as well. I have 20 inch with rifle length, H1 buffer. Have an adjustable gas block, however had way too open. Went out this weekend and started with it closed, adjusted just to was getting last round hold open. Brass looked perfect and the angry extraction...

      Bad ammo or something else

Thanks rocinamte, good information and will have to test that out tomorrow. New purchase but had no idea about the recall so will make sure not new purchase of old stock.

      Bad ammo or something else

Could very well be an overgassed issue reducing dwell time. I am not an ar expert by any stretch and first adjustable gas block of this type which was still trying to get dialed in so may have over adjusted. Only other adjustable gas block I have has settings which make it much easier. This...

      Bad ammo or something else

More I look at cases think it is brass issue. Hornaday left / wolf ppu right

      Bad ammo or something else

Have not, will be ordering gauge. First ar in this caliber.

      Bad ammo or something else

That is what looks to me as well however thought the way an ar bolt was designed would not allow to fire out of battery. Maybe firing pin too long allowing it to happen?

      Bad ammo or something else

Had a chance to take a new build to the range on Sunday and after playing with adjustable gas block ran great. Shot Hornaday and some wolf gold. Rifle is 6.5 Grendel ar with Odin barrel and bolt. Was looking through some of the cases this evening as eventually want to get into reloading...
