      EDC carry a BP

I apologize if this sounds just stupid or has been discussed before, please humor me. If a BP pistol is not considered a firearm, and can be shipped to me, and I don’t need a HQL to buy, own; What is the law regarding carrying a Colt .31 Baby Dragoon in a holster on your person? Or a Walker? Gun...

      Holster- flap or no?

For civil war era revolvers (not cowboy style) do you prefer flap or no flap. Trying to decide for new .31 Wells Fargo. Just looking to see what others prefer and why?

‘51 colt navy- barrel will not come off

Uberti brand new. The wedge is out, placed the plunger between cylinders. Was able to get barrel to move a hair, cylinder is slightly loose, absolutely cannot get the barrel assembly to budge. Im afraid to hammer on the lever. Every video says slides right off, well, no it doesn’t. Any...

      Why no smokeless?

I ask this out of curiosity and not because I would ever do it. With modern metallurgy, why are we warned to never load smokeless powder in them? Are these pistols inherently weaker than comparable modern revolvers?

      Do you display your revolvers?

I have 4 revolvers that i keep hidden. Seems a shame to hide them or lock them away. I live in a safe area, and thinking of displaying them above the fireplace. But i do wonder if leaving them out is not the smartest move, you never know when you may have a B&E. So, lets hear your opinion...

Range bag - 4 revolver capacity

Looking for a soft side range bag capable of carrying 4 Revolvers, with all the BP shooting accessories needed at range. Not having much luck finding a 4 capacity. Can go 2 revolvers capacity and keep 2 in car and swap during shoots if I had to. Most what I see are for semi-autos. Any...

Outdoor Range in lower PA. Lancaster / York

Are there any outdoor ranges, black powder allowed, open to Marylanders, not restricted to gun club membership, basically open to public for a fee, in the area between MD border and Lancaster, York, points east.

      Elk Neck range

Question for all you experienced guys. EN rules say you must shoot from bench rest, no free standing shooting. What fun is that with a BP pistol? Im shooting 25 yards not sniping at 1500 yards. Are they serious?

      What did I get into?

Back when I had my Hawken it was real black powder and a flint. Now i reading that real BP has become a dinosaur and synthetic loads have taken over. Triple7, some 209 stuff. 40 grains of BP aint 40 grains anymore. And dont get me started on different percussion caps matching to the type of...

      Restore a TC Hawken

Hello all, Loking for a little help. I have Thompson Center .50 flintlock hawken that i purchased in 1974. Shot thousand of rounds thru it. It was my most prized possession. Had a house fire in late 2014, the rifle was in another room from main fire so its still solid. But the varnish on...

      New- bear with me.

Newbie. Not new to arms or black powder but new to Maryland shooting destinations. Thinking about a Uberti Remington 1858 Navy .36 . Always wanted, recently retired and may finally pull the trigger. Live in Perry Hall but finding nobody allows bp at indoor ranges, not surprised, so can any...
