I am an instructor and I had two of my students call me about an MSP "investigator" Charles Ewing.
He has been pressing applicants for six deposit reports or a letter from the bank, and questions applicants about how much they deposit, how often, where, and how much cash.

A or B are most likely subsequent permits. I had and SPO and associated handgun permit. Then became an FFL and another associated permit which carried the same permit number but added an "A" to it.
If you go through Adams County you do not have to have property or business interests in PA. Just have the MD permit, send in the application and wait for a reply, then drive up and pay your $20 and get your picture taken. You walk out with the permit.

I know CT personally. We don't always agree, lol, but he is willing to listen. Yes, certainly more towards "center" than not. We had a lot of conversation about SB281 as it was moving through. He is a good guy with a great family.

The last time I spoke with MSP about this they stated that it simply denotes HOW one is qualified.
"C" = Certificate: From an outside organization (ie NRA)
"L" = Licensed: MSP granted the qualification
Both C and L can teach/instruct the HQL and W&C classes equally.

Yes, the last class I offered had one individual that was renewing, and the others were all new applicants. All of them were in the "personal" category.
In Southern Maryland you can go to the Charles County Sheriff's Office Annex at St Charles Town Center Mall in Waldorf.
They do LiveScan and hard cards.
