Building My First

Some of you know I’m new to owning ar’s, and after purchasing my first I decided to try my hand at building. I was going to wait until all my parts came in and do series about my first build, but if I sit and wait for these upper parts to process and get to me it will be 2024. So for now I’ll just start off with my lower parts and add pics along the way. Don’t mind the clutter.

I decided on the following parts

*BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 pistol grip
*Strike Industries Enhanced Lower Parts Kit
*BAD Ass Pro Ambi Safety
*Milspec Buffer Tube
*H2 Buffer
*Rise Armament Rave 140 DTOM Flat Trigger

The only part that’s come in for my Upper. Chose the Odin Works Rune 12” which actually is 12.4 even though they said it’s a 12”. Guess once my upper parts and 12.5” barrel comes in we will see how this fits.

If you have a torque wrench, dump the locktite. Even if you don't, there's no need for locktite on an AR.

Oh nah I put that on the anti roll pin screws on the trigger. I don’t plan to replace the drop in Ra140 so I just wanted to make sure them screws don’t come out. Only thing I need to do is stake the castle nut.

Just in time to have a new build completed and under the tree to myself for Christmas.

Went with
*Rosco Manufacturing 12.5” 5.56 Sauce Pack
*Aero Forged Upper to Match the lower
*Breek Arms Warhammer Charging Handle (FDE) cause I love them.
*Odin Works Rune Handguard. Was suppose to be 12” but it’s 12.4 so it’s going to be interesting.
*Strike Industries Venom Flash Hider
*Trinity force Barricade Handstop

Will be transferring my optic Sig Romeo5 and flip ups from my Zion. Will post pics once done. First thing is to lap this receiver. Stay tuned!

Well I didn’t think about checking this barrel but for the odin works handguard. Turns out my ar wrench aint gonna work and I need a 1 1/4 crowfoot . Gotta wait till Friday for Amazon to deliver it

Nah I have everything on used a crescent wrench lol, just wanted to be within specs as far as torque.

Appreciate it, yea I got it but the way this damn nut is for this hand guard it has 2 pieces. One goes on the upper which has aeroshell, the other screws into that nut
