Finally got my approval today. The crown has deemed me worthy to buy a handgun for another decade. Hazzauha.

Was surprised to see the wording APPROVED on it and not the preferred MSP parlance of NOT DISAPPROVED.
I think Bruen changed that. They cannot disapprove an enumerated right

The NM Governor thought she could she is FAFO right now

No, it’s the specific language in the law for the 77R process. That’s the only place where MSP uses “not disapproved”.

****Just got my approval letter on a renewal submission sent back in mid-August. Paid $20 for a letter vs the at least nice ID with *phenomenal* pic of me the first time around with my photogenic smile and 5 o'clock shadow I was sporting for street cred back then...

Ridiculous to have to pay $20 for an enumerated right. Imagine the shitstorm if there was a poll tax and charge to vote... :sad20:

We had the same expiration date! I'm 100+ licenses ahead of you though.

Submitted for renewal on 8/28. No email yet.

I just checked the website and it shows an expiration of 2033 now. So that’s something.

Not sure how important the email is. Number is the same as indicated by someone else above.

ETA: yes I checked the spam folder.

Submitted my renewal application in July and received the email letter last week. So I guess that if I go to a shop and they ask to see my HQL I’ll have to carry a copy of the letter as the card has expired. Great system.

Funny that your initial HQL is free if you have a WCP… is the free HQL in the law or is MSP just being nice?
