That is funny considering when I grew up in California half the people I met were from somewhere else. You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting some import from another state that came to CA to "hit it big", or came simply because the jobs used to be plentiful. You're an actress or a model? Oh really? Well right now you're a bartender that rates about a 7 on the California scale, so get me my beer.

Most of them did nothing but bitch about how much better it was wherever they came from in New York or wherever, but they came "for the weather." Lots of east coast and Pacific Nortwest libs moved in and infested CA. Look no further than those carpetbaggers Feinstein, Boxer, and Pelosi.

Even if it were true (which it isn't) that the vast majority of people moving from CA to Colorado happened to be full fledged socialists, I wouldn't feel a bit sorry for Colorado considering all the granola eating squirrels they sent us since the 1950's. Now the trend is migrating the other direction. Too bad for them.

Thanks for the flattering words, and I'm humbled. However I'd have a hard time running for office given my heavy workload.

We are currently much too busy training on realistic looking DHS approved targets waiting for "the day" when we get the order to strap on the jackboots and prone out grandma to confiscate that Raven .25 she has in the nightstand.

I hear the next order of paper targets is coming in soon. Rumor has it they include special ed children, paralyzed veterans, and a few leppers. The guys at work are stoked! Got to get rid of all that training ammo somehow.

Imho, those "good" democrats need to show some spine and stand up in the face of their party that expresses extreme anti-2-A sentiment via the proposed bill. Some would label it tyrannical, or worse.

    This had better fail.

Its 20-15 in favor of dems...can't repubs filibuster?

IIRC they need one more no vote to filibuster.

Edit- I looked up the senate rules, in the CO senate you need 18 votes to pass legislation. The 15 republicans are voting no and 2 democrats are voting no so they need one more democrat to block this bill. From what I gather the remaining dems are pretty dug in on this so odds are it becomes law

    Mar 4:
Colorado gun bills: Senate committee passes bill defining concealed-carry permit training- eliminates online training video which is one hour long, forces people who want to carry concealed to attend a class in person
Colorado gun bills: Senate committee passes bill to ban concealed guns on campus
Colorado gun bills: Senate committee passes bill requiring fee for gun background checks
Colorado gun bills: Senate committee passes bill to limit gun magazines limits- limit to 15 rounds in handguns and rifles, 8 shells in a shotgun.
Colorado gun bills: Senate committee passes bill to expand domestic violence bans in checks
Colorado gun bills: Senate committee passes bill to make manufactures of assault weapons civilly liable if their weapons are used in a crime- This is a backdoor assault weapons ban, no manufacturer is going to want to sell a gun in Colorado

They should just thank good there not living in Maryland.

If we defeat the bill in MD then the gun laws of CO will actually be worse minus concealed carry.

One thing I noticed when I was searching for info on these bills, in Colorado there does not seem to be a well organized 2A community. There is Rocky Mountain Gun Owner's but they seem to have a GOA like operation and there website is hard to navigate and not updated. There is no equivalent to MDshooter from what I can tell, just a few Co based gun forums with 2 month old posts. I suspect the gun owners of CO were apathetic and ill prepared for this assault on their rights.

If it were not for Magpul I don't think they would even have a chance...

while i know that legislators can pass just about anything, i don't believe that this could stand up to a challenge in court.
