That thing is purdy!I picked the PPK/s up today. I've never been one for comment on packaging, but this one needs it. It came in a small externally molded case that was compact and well fitted. Inside was cut precisely to the gun and mag. As expected, it's a classic and well designed gun. Very well balanced in the hand. Disassembled for inspection and cleaning this evening. First range session and report forthcoming tomorrow as I've got the day off to play at the range. Now off to find some 9mm kurz to feed it.

You know there is more to life than Glock in 9mmI don't even like .380 and I have to concede that this is a beautiful gun. Very nice indeed Sir.
Right. There's Glock in .40, Glock in .45, Glock in 10mm...You know there is more to life than Glock in 9mm

Very nice grips on the new one! That walnut really pops against the stainless.Sounds like you had a good trip, and your experience regarding accuracy etc. matches mine. I find I shoot these really well. Pic of my '73 vintage one next to my new one I picked up last fall.

That is sexy.Brought my .380 home yesterday. HK4 (top pistol) 1st one that I have owned since I had a Colt Government Model
The LCP Max saw its first range trip and I have to say I wasn't particularly thrilled with it. A mere 50 rounds of ammo were lit off without malfunction, but my trigger finger was sore after the second mag and I didn't want to open a second box of ammo after I finished the first.
Worse, it and/or me were quite inaccurate with it. I am hardly an accomplished shot, but I don't have trouble keeping rounds on paper. Not quite so true with this little piece. It very well could have been mostly me, but if that's the case not only have my fundamentals gone to shiit, but I didn't have the wherewithal to recognize anything that I was doing wrong. I probably pulled/jerked 5-6 rounds, but it was shooting mostly low at eight yards and had more than a few fliers. To the extent I could find any "comfort" using a pistol defensively, I would not be comfortable engaging with it much beyond contact distance.
It and/or me need some work.
Still carrying the G42 about 50% of the time(G48 the rest of the time). I carry it with the 6+1 standard mag and carry a second extended mag. I find it very friendly to shoot, even with my longish hands/fingers. So far it's been 100% reliable through 400 rounds and very accurate with its original sights, especially considering I normally shoot red dots.Yeah I'm sticking with the G42.
