Practice makes perfect! Yeah I do it on the first round, if I was in a rush that step gets skipped. I think it helps seat the bullets and helps with clean up of the carbon fouling. Not needed but I have some so I use it. I need to knock the dust off my ML and take it out this year.I've killed multiple deer in successive shots with my ML. I don't think I could have pulled that off if I took the time to schmear my sabots with bore butter between shots.
