The Constitution is only a piece of parchment ... and Congress has already shown that they have spines of jellyfish in protecting it, especially with SCOTUS meandering around the Bill of Rights with each new challenge.
The alternative that remains is hard for most to fathom, because it will require loss of blood and treasure to get us back to founding principles ... a price that only a few are willing to pay. Mark Levin and others have been calling for a convention of states, but that won't come about before a revolution of sorts as we are divided so severely.

In 1776, it was a piece of parchment that launched our freedom, but between that and when we finally gained it, many paid the ultimate price.

Don't dismiss that for a moment. Chris Van Hollen and O'Malley are both casting finger in the wind for him. It's my contention that maybe 1/3 the electorate owns guns, and of that 1/3 the majority are not hard core 2A, everyone gets a gun. Plenty of firearms owners are strictly long guns, and if he focuses on handguns, I could see the nation favor a licensing scheme for handguns.

The nation will not favor that and neither will the Republican controlled Congress. I have very little faith in Congress these days but they won't let something like that through. They know it would be the death of them. (Career wise, not literally)

I wish i could agre with you on that but the same congress that gave bozo more spending didnt stop obama care at all wont do anything about immigration nor clear cases of election fraud they wont do much to stoo more gun control when many republicans and gun owners feel that they have a gun and thats enough and wont have a problem with restricting handgun sales,besides the media and justice roberts are on there side when was the last time the republicans stopped a nomination in the senate? They cant even get hilarys emails
