100gr white hots or triple 7 powder. Both were okay.

The 245 gr power-belts were grouping horriblly at 50 yards. Sabot was much better, then walked out to 75 yards. Sabot is definitely a better choice.

If you're up for it, try various T-7 loads.

90, 95, 100, 105, etc...

Some guns/bullets/sabots work best with only 5 grain adjustments.

Time consuming, but well worth it when you find the right combination.

And I can't recommend Harvester brand sabots enough.

The make both smooth and ribbed.

I use hornady 250gr SST's and 300gr FPBs in my CVA Accura MR with BH209 powder and federal 209A primers.. It's nice to not have to swab the barrel at the range at all. Burns clean and shoots moa at 100m. I will say this. The 350gr FPBs will NOT fit down the barrel of a CVA Accura MR :l I've got a box of 20 and can't use'm. I spoke to hornady regarding the issue and they offered to send me a box of 300gr's in exchange. Just gotta mail'm back to them once I get the 300's. Didn't have to pay for shipping either way.

Has anyone ever tried cheap shot sabots?

A pack is less than 10 dollars. The soft nose hollow point is 240 grains.

They would work for getting on paper.

Then switch to the real hunting bullets for final zero.
