I don't know about the rest of the ammo manufacturers but Remington has already stated that they are only making 9 mm and 5.56 ammo for the foreseeable future due to the shortage of raw materials such as lead and copper. I would imagine that also means they are slowing or stopping the production of Rimfire ammo.

After 2013 I bought enough .22 to last 4 lifetimes. I'll sell or trade half of it if prices get too insane.

5.56 and 9mm are also stacked deep and I'm not selling regardless of the price.

I'd love to get there, but I got a late start to the whole collecting and regular shooting thing. One of my good friends who started years before me is now over 400k rounds. Good luck to anyone trying to fight a fire in his basement....

Saw that LG had 5000-round cases of Aguila 22LR (CPHP) of the 1200fps variety, at about nine cents a round ... so, 60 cases in stock at $475 each plus shipping. All gone in just over an hour.

I just checked and the CMP still have cases of commercial .22 for sale $354.95 includes shipping (7.1 cents a round), you have to be a member of a CMP affiliated club and two case per year limit. It is good quality target ammo made by Eley a special CMP Standard only available through CMP. A good way to start your stocking program just remember to keep buying more as you use it or you'll be scrambling again when the next shortage comes.
