If I couda known 8 months ago what I know now ......
Thanks! I've been doing some reading on how others have dealt with this (unique?) situation. Would love to hear some more ideas
He did.
This was a hammer forged barrel.
I am almost 100 % sure he bought a U.S. Barreled parts kit from AOA
should be able to be.
if the gas port is drilled "off", though, you'll need to fill that in and re-drill as well.....
I bought an un-barreled polish kit off AoA, the barrel is Bulgarian from K-var that I picked up during one of their sales last fall. It just sucks cus it'll cost 190 to replace now lol
Kvar has not had any AKM barrels for some time was it a milled variant or something
very cool didnt know that could be doneYeah it was for an slr95 milled. The trunnion was akm 23 mm. The rsb profile is milled and the gas block is ak74. The part number is Ak-601
very cool didnt know that could be done
That explains the rifle not cycling... If you are ever up this way give me a shout and we can drill that gas port out for you. It only takes 5 minutes.
I plan to be through there Wednesday evening on the way to La Plata. Are you available then? I appreciate it!
