    The MD statute is what is relevant, not a page from the MSP which IMO, doesn't comport with the statute. Federal FOPA mandates the weapon be separate from the passenger compartment, but for a trip where both origin and destination are in MD, the MD statute applies.

    See MD 4-203.

    I do agree transport to an MSP barracks is not directly covered in the statute, but you wouldn't be in violation if you follow 4-203 either.

    But you can transport as you see fit.

    Attached find the AG opinion on travel in MD. It cleanly states that for trips where the origin anmd destination are in MD, 4-203 applies. I see no mention of the MSP advisory in his letter.
