      Gun ban

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it is Maryland compliant for now. However after 10-1 it will not be. In looking at the rifle it has a folding stock, flash suppressor, and a detachable magazine. All which make it a very, very dangerous gun :sad20:

MSP Wait Times - 60+ Days

Just got word that I can go and pick up my AR lower tomorrow. Purchase date was around April 22nd.

      Need some advise.

This entire incident is absolutely insane... scary that people in a position of power of any kind can be so stupid to let such a thing get to this point. Sorry for your troubles, it really is a damn shame.

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Thank you, I think I'll just have to buy them myself and not worry about breaking one of Marylands many precious laws. Really my only issue is the freaking wait. I don't care about the background check, I have passed many, but this 90+ days is just absurd.

are ar lowers banned after Oct 1st in MD?

Yea to add on to Glock9mm is saying Joebobs has spikes lowers some in stock now I think, but if not, just get on their email list. You will get emails when they are in stock (usually every few weeks). They also have the poly lowers instock always if you want to do a budget build first. PSA...

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Yea I don't trust myself with that, but it may not be a bad thing to have for a future build. So can those be sent to your house, or do they have to be sent to an FFL dealer as well?

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Yea it really sucks. At this point I might just buy him the damn thing so he can go get it in PA without the hassle of the half a year wait and then just build it with him and maybe borrow it from time to time. :mad54:

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Well I am thinking a few things here. He could purchase it and keep it and we would build it. Or my main plan was he would purchase it, avoiding the long wait of the background check here in Maryland. Then we would do a transfer which I was thinking might not have to do the long wait, but just...

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Don't wanna spend all that money right now. I just want a couple of lowers, that I do not want to build yet but will in the future.

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Damn well that idea seems shot to hell. Now what about inheriting guns. I know in the new law you are allowed to keep a weapon if it is inherited to you correct?

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Well that's true too. I am not sure about that.

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

Now that is interesting, however that may fall under straw purchases if he is purchasing it and then turning around and gifting it to me. I may have to look into this.

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

To transfer or privately sell I would still need to do that? Would the same waiting period have to occur?

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

should have made myself more clear. He would have it sent to an FFL dealer in PA. Therefore he would purchase it in PA so not going through Maryland.

Question about purchasing a lower receiver

I have a question that I have not seen asked yet about purchasing an AR Lower. I know this type of topic has been talked about ad nauseam, however I had a thought last night that was a little different. My father is a Florida resident, but is currently residing in Maryland. He purchased an...

      3-D printed guns

Never say never. This technology is extremely new, and improving all the time. It certainly could get to that level one day, and even now, could be strengthened to work as a serviceable lower receiver.

A poll that just puts the cherry on top!

Yup Obama was a complete unknown and Hillary was the shoe in before the first primary. Don't underestimate this snake for one second. He beat out Ehrlich who I believe had a 60% approval rating at the time. O'malley is a career politician, he will have a very strong run at Potus and I would not...
