I need a small steel pin replicated, three copies ought to do it. It's "headed", meaning it looks like a nail. Really simple work for an experienced machinist. Who can do this? Names and contact information appreciated.
Blue Fins Bait, Tackle, Guns is on Wise Ave in Dundalk, east of the Bear Creek Bridge. I can see the back of the store from my house. I've driven by this place dozens of times, but it wasn't until the other day I noticed the word "Guns" on the sign, so I went home and looked it up. Today my son...
I need a good safe for my guns and valuables, but I have no idea how to tell if it can be safely installed upstairs on the second floor. What questions do I need to ask about this?
I have two of these, and they really work. Pump action handle is not well-designed, trigger pull is horrible, but it's a hoot to blow away flies without smashing them to goop.
Bug-A-Salt Gun
Another first today.
I've reloaded several hundred .38 Special and .45 ACP rounds so far with no problems. Yesterday I got a pound of new powder, Alliant Bullseye, and a box of 500 .38 cal. 148 grain double-ended wadcutters.
So anyway, I loaded 50 rounds last night and took them to FreeState...
Friday evening I ordered a rear sight leaf and elevator for my new-to-me Marlin 922M. The box was sitting on the front porch this afternoon. That is some --> fast --> shipping.
Yesterday at The Gun Shop, I came across a Marlin 922M that looks okay but is missing the folding leaf and elevator on the rear sight. This is the .22 WMR version of the Camp 9 and Camp 45 carbines. What attracted me was the low price. They're hard to find and about $100 to $200 more than this...
I think this opinion piece by Robb Allen on the blog site Sharp as a Marble has much relevance to us here in Maryland.
I like to think I do as much as I can to further our cause, but truth be told, I could do more. It's too easy to use my health problems as an excuse. I want to do better. I...
Ruger Mini-14 = .223 Remington, Mini Thirty = 7.62x39mm.
Priorities are KISS, availability, and ease of reloading.
If you wanted a Ruger Mini carbine, which caliber would you choose, and why?
Companies such as Hamilton, Remington, Stevens, and others made popular "boy's rifles" from ~1890 to 1945. Many were in .32 Short or Long rim fire. I'm wondering about converting one to center fire for the .32 S&W cartridges. Any thoughts, etc. would be appreciated.
Went to the big WM off North Point Blvd tonight. Stood looking at the ammo locker and perused the rest of the aisle for a quarter of an hour or so while Mr. Really Busy behind the counter made a couple phone calls, then chatted with some younger employee while I waited to see if he'd bother to...
I'm afraid if I bring it to Dr. Bob or John Carduner, they'll yell a lot and maybe hit me
I've been trying to get the leaf spring, grip safety, hammer spring housing, and thumb safety back in place. I think I have the leaf spring installed correctly, but when I put the grip safety in place...
I have a Precision Small Arms .25 ACP and a Beretta 21A .22 LR. The manufacturers recommend high velocity ammo for reliable operation. What should I look for?
