      Anyone in SoMD hiring?

southern maryland is one of the hardest places to find work. If you are not on the Navy base or at the nuclear plant be prepared for the good ol boy network to take precedence. I remember when they were looking for an IT person at a company, The receptionist didnt even have applications at...

      Unloaded gun ?

unloaded or loaded its still a firearm. I dont think its a good idea to carry a sidearm to a party. I usually try to exceed the rule. If i even have to take anything the shop I get a breech lock cable that goes down the barrel and through the breech.

      AR-15 build info.

i recommend that all ar-15 builders get a copy of two books. "The AR-15 complete owners guide" by Walt Kuleck, and if you can get a hold of the M-16 23 & P manual it even have specs in there for making your own 4 prong and 5 prong sight tools. I made a few with my dremel and the dremel router...

      .308 for a non-rifle guy...

.308 ammo will be easier to find than 6.5spc or 6.8 grendle. granted the 6. series shoots a bit flatter, the .308 can hit at great distances. Also .223 can hit at 500 but you really have to know your firearm to do that.

      Good Rifle Range

Fredrick Maryland has a nice outdoor range. Its a bit a drive but if you have it you cna shoot it. I went to a 1000 yard range out in WVA near Kingwood.

      Loaded magazines- again

I found that some Maryland Police think that ordinary citizens should be dumb when it comes to gun issues. I was on my way in reporting for duty once and got stopped for no reason. The cop said he thought my windshield was cracked and decided to search the vehicle. Then proceeded to tell me...

      Beam Hit System

yes you would have to rack it each time. thats the downfall to the system but you can tell from that if your sight picture changes and if you dont have a good sight picture to me this would be a good way to tell

      Law enforcement sidearms?

There was an issue with the 92fs safety mech that came down from the big army. not sure of any details but when theres a safety mech issue its a big problem and I'm sure no one wants that liability.

For all those serious shooters out there looking for an accurate way to give firearms instruction without having to buy ammo there is a system called "Beam Hit" and there are several different configurations you can get. So you competitors..........

I normally use my A2 (AR-15) service Rifle and M-9 pistol (Berreta 92FS) for the Guard competition. I made the state team and got Md third place overall for combat rifle and Pistol at the MAC II last year. I would be better if I had a combo with my name on it instead of just using a rack grade...
