I know how to make soap.

Start another thread and post it. I have deer fat to use as a base, but don't know the process and how to leach lye.

One day, I'd like to hear your side of it.

One day you will. When we arrived to our location in Bosnia we pulled up to a truck maintenance facillity. (Google Olovo, Bosnia) and went to sleep in the trucks that we convoyed in. We were instructed to not get out of the trucks for any reason. When we woke up I was looking at an upside down triangle red sign that read MINES! I woke up in the valley with a stream running through it. The valley that we were in was called the valley of death.
the picture below was the truck maintenance facility. Those vehicles belonged to my maintenance contact team for 1-35 Armor 1st Armored Division out of Baumholder Germany.
