I guess the Timonium show will be like this as well.....

I'm sure it will if just for the ammo alone, since the only mag legal here are 20 and under.

It's funny how people are more worried about having tons of 30 round mag's and from talking to some people, they have a couple hundred rounds at best to fill them LOL.

I'm glad I didn't go. I was looking for mags and ammo, but not at that price. I'll keep sifting around online for a while and hope to catch a not so bad restock at some point. It hurt to shoot 200 rounds of my 5.56 last week knowing I probably wouldn't find more or $1 a round.

I stopped going to these kind of shows years ago but I was there last September. I had to take my nephew to Dulles airport and decided to stop by since I was already in the area. Bought 1,000 rounds of 7.62 for 250(I think). Anyways, price would have been the same if I got it online.

I was planning to be there when it opened, but got stuck at work. I got there about 6 so I only had 2 hours to peruse. ARs, 223, and mags were nuts - didn't see an AR for under $2k, and $25+ for GI mags that used to be $8 and $40+ for $15 PMags. 223 Ammo steady at a $1 a round. Looks like I got my AR and PMags at the right time.
I did pickup some 22 and 45 ammo because I was in need of both and didn't get taken on either. Also, I've been jonesin' for an SKS for a little while now. Trader Jerry had a bunch of Chinese ones for $300, but the stocks looked shit. It seems to me the well is drying up on these, though, so I'm tempted to nab one and deal with the stock (attempt to refinish or maybe put it in a different stock). Is it worth it? Can I get as good a deal instate somewhere? Also, who normally does the MD transfers as the show? Someone said it's Accurate Pawn. Were they there? I wasn't paying attention and didn't notice.

I got to the show at 4 PM the parking lot was full and there were at least 125 cars circling with more coming in the lot every minute. To get a place to park I bought an early dinner at the Mexican place next door.. (I wasn't even hungry.) Their lot was a small one and had a security guard sitting at the entrance to keep show traffic out. Untold him I was going to the Mexican place to get dinner and he waved me in. Just to cover my ass I went in and got a taco/tomali combo.

To bypass the 1.5 hour line I purchased an NRA membership for my Nephew $30. Once inside I meet up with a few friends at the reloading booth in the center back of the show. The dealer was limiting powder to 1 container, primers to 1000 of each type, bulk 223 bullets to 500. But he hadn't raised prices one bit. I picked up my limit of each. I was also looking for FAL parts to complete a build project but decided not to fight the crowds anymore and headed home at 5:30.

I did see 30 round AR mags for $25 each or 7 for $200 at a vendor just to the right of the front door about 3 rows in. He had plenty to go around but I decided to stick with my MidwayUSA backorder at half that price.

There were several C&R dealers there but I'm in a program now and was able to resist the temptation to add to my collection.

Good luck to everyone that ventures out to the show.

I wanted ammo since it's been so hard to find here but $1-1.30 a bullet was insane when I finally got in there. I did manage to find a table in a corner selling .223 at $40 for 100rnd of steel case. Which compared to everyone else was a deal. .22lr CCI went from $8 to $20 a 100rnd pack. Bought 2 for 8 at the same table. As I was leaving I saw some 30rnd maglevel pmags for $40. Almost bought one but quickly changed my mind. I have enough 20rnd pmags. I can wait till things calm down if I want more.

I saw the protesters getting escorted off the property as I was waiting in line to get in. As they were yelling things out, one or two people in line would yell something back and everyone would laugh. It only looked like there were maybe about 15-20 protesters in all.

Do you know the name of the table that had the 223?

Sig 716 for $5500 lol. There were a ton of 30rd pmags @$35-45. Good to see people aren't paying that much and buying them all. I figured there would be none at all.

I was just about to head out the door to goto the show to try to sell my Colt M4 Carbine .22 Tactical Rimfire, but by the time I get there, I'll only have 2hrs to try to get in and sell it. Plus, it would depend if the .22 ARs are also skyrocketing in price.
