      Hap baker Access

Thanks for the info. I would have expected to see that post here instead of in the water cooler section...?

      Hap baker Access

Anyone been to Hap since the snow and Ice? Do they plow the road back to the range? My friend and I are planning to go tomorrow and neither of us have a truck. The road sucks when it's dry, so I can only imagine what it's like right now. Just wanted to make sure we don't get there and have...

      I have a groundhog problem...

Their hole is right under my big shed, so I have no access, but dam that sounds like fun.

      I have a groundhog problem...

Well, I got two so far. Tractor supply had a deal where you buy a big trap and you get the little one as a bonus. Turns out the big trap is nothing more than a groundhog feeder. The little ones are not heavy enough to trigger the mechanism. I got two smaller ones with the little trap. Shoot...

      Stevens bolt action

turns out this particular rifle has no sentimental value to my father. He has a shot gun that was passed down, which is more important to him. I think I'll be spending the $300 on something new.

      Stevens bolt action

I know my dad has some stories about this .22. If I can get it working, I'm going to tell my son how I used it to clear out some groundhogs!

      Stevens bolt action

It was my great grandfather's, so I won't be selling it. I'd like to get the action working, and I don't much care how it looks as long as it functions. What is the going rate for a gun smith? Any suggestions on where to take it? I was thinking of making the trek to see Dan at gun connection.

      Stevens bolt action

My father gave me an old .22 rifle yesterday and I'm wondering if it is worth trying to get someone to fix it. The only markings I see are "trademark Stevens" stamped on the metal. It looks to be in pretty bad shape. has some rust and from what I can tell, the peice that attaches the...

      I have a groundhog problem...

went to tractor supply and got a trap today. Now I'm thinking if I shoot the sucker with my 9mm while it's in the cage, it will trash the cage...? Thoughts?

      I have a groundhog problem...

From what I saw on the interwebz, it comes chambered for the .22lr as well. I agree, .223 is a bit much and honestly if I was going .223 I'd just say screw it and get an AR!

      I have a groundhog problem...

I'm thinking Remington 700 Varmint, unless you guys have some other suggestions....

      I have a groundhog problem...

I took a pot shot at one of the little buggers with my P226 from about 30 feet. It was way too loud and that's a tough shot for an experienced hand gunner (which I'm not). My father in Law has a bolt action 22 rifle he's going to let me borrow. He says it does not like subsonic rounds. Not...

      I have a groundhog problem...

I have about a 30lb momma groundhog and now three babies living under my shed and wood pile. I need to eradicate said varmits, but my P226 9mm is just too dang loud. I need a 22 rifle to take these suckers out. I don't want or need anything fancy, but something that will get the job done...
