I might be wrong, but I believe Monocacy NRMA (Monocacy River Natural Resources Management Area) does not allow rifles - only shotguns, muzzleloaders and bows.
I just purchased a Ruger Single Six last Friday. Although I don't claim to be a Ruger-only dude, this is my fourth Ruger pistol - and they've all been top notch.
Hi All,
Last weekend, I picked up a used Voere Kufstein, Mauser Action .30-06 rifle. It's a model 2165 (Austrian) with a walnut stock/Bavarian cheek piece, checkered pistol grip, Mahogany, white-line, grip cap - open sights and a cheapo scope.
I am not familiar with the Voere, but this rifle...
I've also heard good things about Stateline... I understand they're open off-hours since the owner runs it part-time (like Gunrunners - another excellent shop IMHO).
Thank you, Inigoes.... I'm picking up a Ruger 22/45 tomorrow for 1911 practice, and also plan to get a .380 (thinking of the Diamondback DB380), so it will be nice not to have to wait 30 days!

I mailed my collector application/affidavit to the MSP on June 20th, and received my approval letter yesterday (dated July 24th).
Does anyone know if the approval letter is all there is to receive (i.e., whether or not we also receive a card)? If so, I presume we take the letter with us to...
Thanks for the helpful info. I sent mine in via certified mail with return receipt earlier this month. I'll give it 30-days, then send an email if needed.
From what I understand, after Obama's 'Under the Radar' statement back in March...
I believe agree Gunrunner's is the best in town; excellent customer service - and without any condescending BS.
The $20 transfer fee is also an MPC discounted price... but still, it's only $30 otherwise.
I'm an MPC member, and Bob gave me an excellent deal on a Ruger P95 SS.
Hard to believe that a few months ago, I went to the Silverado Gun Show and found it kind of boring.... I went ahead and signed up with the NRA, joined a gun club, and started going to the range.
So here I am now.... five guns later - and another on the way. This stuff is addicting!!!

I got mine from Bud's Gun Shop. They offer the Mosin in "Very Good" condition for $99 and "Superior" condition for $109. I just purchased the superior conditioned Mosin last Friday and it was delivered on Tuesday!
Here are the links...
Very nice. I just got mine last Tuesday (dated 1941). Field stripped, cleaned-out all the cosmoline, and prepped it up. The bolt action is smooth, hopefully I'll be able to shoot it for the first time tomorrow!
I have the Ruger P95. Bud's Gun Shop just got them back in stock for $300... the FFL transfer charge is $30. I buy from Bud's and they're great. Check it out: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/18161
On a whim, I purchased a Mossberg .22 box of Remington 550 .22lr 550 loose rd at the Mt. Airy Wal-Mart two weeks ago. Prices were good, service slow, but hey, it's Wal-Mart.
